The traditional stationary cement silo is ideal for long-term storage at production facilities or construction sites. These silos offer secure, reliable, and spacious storage for cement and other bulk materials such as flyash, slag, lime, rock and sand
Portable cement silos are perfect for temporary storage needs at job sites or locations where relocation is necessary. With easy mobility, these silos provide convenience for construction projects and other short-term operations.
Standard Features
Jamieson’s Standley cement silos come with several standard features to guarantee efficiency and safety during operation:
- Screw Conveyors:: Screw conveyors have several benefits, the biggest being their versatility. They can be used in a variety of industries, including cement, fly ash and silica. They can also contain multiple inlet and discharge points, handle a variety of bulk materials, and can even mix multiple products together. Each conveyor has a powerful geared motor and adjustable ball joints available for installation below the cement silo, along with sturdy suspension brackets.
- Pressure/Vac Relief Valve: A crucial component for regulating pressure levels within the silo, making sure of safe operation.
- Inside Ladder and Access: For easy maintenance and accessibility, the inside ladder connects through the pressure/vac relief valve.
- Custom-Built Structure: We offer both drive-through and non-drive-through structures, allowing flexibility based on site requirements. Each silo is built to your specifications.
- Outside Ladder/Cage, Fall-Arrest, OSHA Work Platforms, Top Handrail, and Toe Board: These features offer enhanced safety during maintenance and access.
- Discharge Gate: Customizable to meet your specific requirements, ensuring optimal material flow from the silo. These are typically a wafer style butterfly valve but could also be slide gate.
- Jet Pulse Dust Collector: Designed to minimize dust emissions, this system keeps the environment cleaner and helps meet air quality standards.
- Level Controls/Anti-Overfill Systems: Normally a rotary style high level control with a paddle or a Capacitance style probe that is wired to an anti-overfill control panel that sends a signal to a pneumatic pinch valve or butterfly valve in the fill pipe to close off preventing overfill and damage to the silo and dust control system.
- Inventory Management Systems: Non-Contact Radar or a Plumb-Bob style inventory management systems can provide vital inventory controls to eliminate over-ordering often associated with overfilling of cement silos.
- Aeration Systems: Low Pressure/High Volume Blower Packages, High Pressure Systems. Deliver clean/dry air to aeration pads in the silo cone to ensure consistent product flow.
- Variety of Color Options: Choose from a range of color options, with Standley Gray as the standard finish, to complement your equipment and site.
Optional Features
For customers seeking additional capabilities, Jamieson offers several optional features to enhance the versatility and functionality of your cement silos. The Overfill System is designed to prevent overfilling, providing a safe and efficient way to manage silo capacity. High- and Low-Level Indicators offer clear visibility of material levels, which helps improve operational efficiency and ensures safety during operation.
For those needing more flexible storage, Split Compartment Silos allow different materials to be stored in separate compartments, optimizing storage space. To improve material distribution, Double/Triple Discharge options provide multiple discharge points from the silo, making material flow more efficient.
The Screw Conveyor is also an excellent option for smoothly moving cement or other bulk materials, having reliable operation of your silo system.
